EDMbiz is America’s premier gathering for EDM professionals in America. EDMbiz will host headlining keynotes from renowned producers Armin van Buuren and Moby. As well as the first ever keynote from Insomniac’s CEO & Founder and newly minted Executive of the Year among Billboard’s Dance Power Players List, Pasquale Rotella. The newly expanded conference will also include a second stage of programming, hosted by Matt Medved, Senior Editor, Dance/Electronic at Billboard, and featuring quick-fire discussions, unique demonstrations, and fireside chats led by the music industry’s freshest, most cutting-edge creators, innovators and talent. All elements and activations surrounding EDMbiz will encompass the conference’s three cornerstones: Experience, Technology and Aspiration.
Panels and discussions at EDMbiz 2016 will tackle the topics and issues at the forefront for anyone looking to break into the dance music industry. One headlining conversation will feature an exclusive presentation by Nielsen entitled, EDM is Dead, Long Live EDM! (EDM’s Value to Brands and Live Events). In this presentation Nielsen will discuss the greatly exaggerated “death of EDM” and focus on the value EDM fans bring to consumer brands and the live event industry.
In addition to the two stages of programming, EDMbiz will also be offering attendees the opportunity to take part in some other unique programming including the finals of the first-ever EDC Hackathon, the return of the EDMbiz A&R contest, and a one-of-a-kind mentoring program hosted by Little Empire Music and SkyLight designed to empower and educate young hopefuls.
For the first time ever, EDMbiz will be taking attendee networking to the next level by beginning each day with an energizing yoga session by Divine Movement and closing each day with a conference wide Networking Happy Hour. Participants will also be able to have facetime with Moby; directly following his Keynote, the iconic producer will host a special book signing of Porcelain: A Memoir.
